Shikhar Dhawan Scored 248 Runs in 150 balls Against South Africa A

Indian Batsman Shikhar Dhawan scored today a double century aginst South Africa A at the ongoing Triangular Series at South Africa. The match was played at LC de Villiers Oval, Pretoria.

India won the toss and elected to bat first . Openers Murali Vijay and Shikhar dhawan started the Indian Innings and put up an opening partnership of 91 runs.  Then Shikhar dhawan started his batting exhibition skills. Shikhar dhawan along with Pujara kept the game alive as Pujara ended up scoring 109 runs in his innings.

Shikhar dhawan scored 248 runs in 150 balls with 30 fours and 7 sixes . Earlier records were as follows , Shikhar dhawan has crossed Graeme Pollock record score of  222 not out for Eastern Province versus Border in 1974. Shikhar Dhawan was finally dismissed for 248 which is  the second highest score in List A cricket  . He was he was caught by Vilas off Rusty Theron in the 45th over. His knock, an Indian record, included 30 boundaries and 7 sixes. India ended with 433 for three,

Dhawan fell 20 runs short of the highest score in List A cricket. That record belongs to English batsman Ali Brown, who rampaged his way to 268 for Surrey against Glamorgan at The Oval in 2002. Replying to India's total South Africa were all out for 394 in 48.4 overs. Reeza Hendricks hit 106 from 78 balls and VB van Jaarsveld smashed 108 off 91 while Ishwar Pandey took 4 for 76.
