We all know that Kerala is suffering from the worst floods ever since 1924 and the entire state is in terrible tear, leaving lakhs of people homeless. And the whole country including celebrities, politicians, civil servants and the citizens of the country has extended their helping hand and doing whatever they can do to the people to bring Kerala out of this situation.

Apart from army and emergency services, there are many heroes whose gestures are being lauded on social media. The IAS officers - Kerala Food Safety Commissioner MG Rajamanikyam who is also the special officer dealing with Disaster Management, and Wayanad sub-collector NSK Umesh are winning all hearts after photos of them unloading and carrying rice bags on their shoulders from a vehicle went viral.
From Facebook to Twitter, many have shared the pictures saluting the two heroes who got into action “instead of just ordering others”.

Heavy torrential rains and floods have left over 90 dead and more than 50,000 people displaced in the state, swamping homes, destroying roads, and disrupting air and rail traffic in many places.
Almost all of Kerala’s 14 districts are on red alert. Chief Minister of State Pinarayi Vijayan has requested the Central Government to send more aid to carry rescue operations; the Government has already deployed all three wings of the army to carry rescue operations in Kerala.
