Indian Cricketers not only serve their thirst for passion but also are in a very well position serving the Government. The Indian Cricket team has many accolades in its list. The team members always outperform themselves, making the fans long for more. Do you also know that some of our Men's Indian Cricket Teammates are also part of the government? They are serving in some of the top-level positions.
Firstly, our beloved Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who not only is the most celebrated and admired Cool Captain, he is also a Lieutenant Colonel serving in the Indian Army. His batting and wicketkeeping skills, along with his most able captaincy also has a more patriotic touch to it. He was given the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the year 2011. Dhoni is also the Vice President of The Indian Cements Ltd.
Secondly, Sachin Tendulkar, The God Of Cricket. Needless to say more, cricket fans know more than we can describe here. He has been honoured by the Indian Air force as the Group Captain in the year 2010. Two years after that, he has also been serving as an active, participative member of Rajya Sabha since 2012.
Thirdly, our Harbhajan Singh often called as 'Bhajji', is a great player who is capable of playing all forms of cricket. He is a specialist spin bowler, who has the second highest Test Wickets by an off-spinner. Bhajji was honoured with the position of Deputy Superintendent Of Police (DSP) by the government of Punjab, in the year 2001.
Fourthly, the Legendary Kapil Dev, a former Indian Cricketer. He was once named The Indian Cricketer Of The Century in the year 2002. Now. 59-year-old then has captained the World Cup Win of India in 1983, India's very First World Cup. In the year 2008, Kapil was honoured with the position of Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Army.
Lastly, comes Umesh Yadav. Playing for both Vidharbha and Indian Cricket team is the first one from Domestic team to have played Test Cricket. Mainly a right-arm fast bowler, he was appointed as the Assistant Manager in the Reserve Bank Of India.
