Government Schools constituting a big part of the Indian education system, are often in highlights and for all the wrong reasons. In a government school in Ballari district of Bengaluru, a boy found a dead lizard in his plate. Students were being served under mid-day meal programme that likewise is run by the government of India. Almost 90 students were fed with the same adulterated food.
The incident happened in Gaddikeri government high school. After the lizard was seen, all the 90 students were admitted to a government hospital. As per TOI, the kids were served with Pulav which was cooked under mid-day meal programme. A boy who found the dead lizard jumped up in shock and understanding the situation, the entire room ended up restless. After the food was distributed nearly 87 students complained stomach ache and vomiting.
After the students were admitted to the hospital, doctors examined them and declared them out of danger. They claimed that kids were still in shock and had a slight fever. “All students have recovered, and there’s no cause of concern,” said a doctor who had examined the students -in an interview to TOI.
