- India has witnessed hugely celebrated weddings like those of Deepika-Ranveer and Priyanka-Nick but is yet to behold one of the biggest and most expensive weddings in the country and arguably in the world as well. India's the richest man and the 20th richest person on the planet -Mukesh Ambani who owns a net worth of $31.3 billion is about to marry his daughter -Isha Ambani to Anand Piramal, the only son of Indian billionaire industrialist -Ajay Piramal. The marriage is yet to happen, and the woman is already been gifted a house worth INR 450 crores by her in-laws.
The couple will be shifted to the house post their marriage. The property gifted by in-laws of Isha is basically a grand 50,000-square-foot sea-facing five-storey bungalow in Worli (Mumbai) which was bought by Piramals from Hindustan Unilever in 2012. As claimed by The Economic Times, Piramals had placed bids for the property against many offers including those of Anil Ambani and Gautam Adani as well, who too wanted to purchase the same.
The building has an open-air water body and a multi-purpose room as well. The building has rooms for servants, lounge areas, and dressing rooms as well. Workers working on its renovation talked to India Today and said, "We are given the deadline of December 1 to complete the work. There is a big puja which is to be performed on December 1, therefore the work is in full swing. Most of the material is brought from abroad. The bungalow has a swimming pool, temple room, three-floor basement for parking and other services, one huge hall with a huge ceiling. At the moment there are over one thousand workers, working day and night to meet the deadline. It has got the required permission from the BMC as well." The couple might shift to their new home from December 12, 2018.
