Congress had a win in the Rajasthan Elections, they have started making plans already. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot along with other cabinet members have decided on major changes from the earlier BJP regime to the age-old Congress one. In their first ever Departmental Reshuffle, they have transferred around 68 Executive officers including 27 District Collectors. Prior to this, there was another shuffle and reassignment.
Previous week there was another reshuffling that took place. As per the release from the Department of Personnel, few who were posted were given additional charges of various positions. Some of them transferred again. A senior IAS Officer of Additional Chief Secretary rank, Pawan Kumar Goyal, will be holding an Additional Charge of Agriculture along with Urban Development.
Chief Minister's Secretary Ajitabh Sharma along with his present office will be holding Rajasthan's Renewable Energy Corporation. Another official named, Abhay Kumar who was earlier holding the Cooperatives Department will now be in charge of the Information and Technology as its Principal Secretary.
Sanjay Malhotra the Principal Secretary of Power Department now got transferred to the Revenue Department. There are three departments under Rajat Kumar Mishra, namely the general administration, civil aviation and the state motor garage. PHED and Ground Water Departments under Sandeep Verma.
Rolly Singh is the Principal Secretary of Department of Personnel. Panchayat Raj's Secretary and Commissioner now the Chairman and Managing Director of Rajasthan State Power Transmission Corporation Limited, Kunji Lal Meena. Vaibhav Galariya is transferred as secretary higher and technical education.
Vaibhav's earlier Jaipur Development Authority is given to T Ravikant. Other officers and executives have been transferred to different districts and cities and even departments. As an IAS officer and as an official in the Executive sector of the Government, these transfers are common. Being a Generalist thus benefits, they are also known as All-rounders.
