Record-breaking temperatures are being recorded. Not only on the land surface of the Earth but even in the oceans. Oceans have been making and breaking their highest temperature records for five years. Last year, that is the year of 2018, was the Hottest Ever measured till now and the temperatures are going upward. There seems no decline or even a stabilisation of temperatures. Direct effects of Global Warming showing up.
The one and only easy way to measure the effect of Global Warming and its intensity is to observe our vast oceans. Covering two-thirds of the Earth's surface, our five oceans absorb about 90% of the heat of the Earth. Heat from the rays of the Sun is not the reason behind this extreme rise.
The very common and easily neglected reason for the temperature rise is Greenhouse Gases. These manmade emissions and their effects are most reflected in the oceans. Observing them would give us accurate global effects. The media frenzied Air Temperatures are not always reliable as they are very inconsistent.
The last five years have been the hottest ever. The rate at which the waters are warming up is alarming. The scientists have given this as an analogy, "rate = five Hiroshima-size atomic bombs exploding every second". These measurements and concerning numbers have been published in the journal of, 'Advances in Atmospheric Sciences'.
Consequences of increasing Global Warming:
Scientists all over the world feel that they are on a replay, stuck on the same sentence for years. Every year they keep giving the facts and figures about the damage, evidently, the damage occurs, temporary relief measures are taken and the next calamity follows. Action to avoid the damage is missing.

Consequences of increasing Global Warming:
- Firstly, the expansion of water bodies due to the warmth, resulting in rising in sea levels.
- Secondly, the warm water makes the atmospheric storms more powerful, and downpour heavier.
- Thirdly, these temperatures not only affect us Humans but are also lethal to sea life and coral reefs. They might soon diminish, not able to withstand these extremities.
