The bright peaceful colour of blue washes our gloom away, the very sight of the mighty oceans wipes us off our might away. This colour blue represents the very source of existence of life. Water is the three-fourths part of our Earth and the wholesome part of our lives. Oceanic waters change colours based on their location on the Earth, and they are changing now too, but this is not good news anymore.
A Comprehensive study that was conducted has revealed that 50% of the oceans of the World will change or shift their colour by the year 2100. All thanks to the global phenomenon of Climate Change that is on the rise. This change is causing variations in the levels of Phytoplankton in the waters.
The effect on the aquatic plant life especially the Phytoplankton will give out a major shift into the colour Green from the existing colour Blue. This is estimated to happen over decades from now with the similar situations or even worsening ones.
The researchers at the MIT University of the United States have suggested assistance from satellite imagery and sensing to detect the changes in the Ocean Hues. This early detection would also help in early prevention of worsening of the situation.
The sub-tropic region of the oceans which are already blue will become darker. And the region near the poles which is already green will be turning into deeper hues of green. The green here is not just colour but plant life.

The experiment and the study were thus made after the scientists have simulated the growth of phytoplankton and algae in the oceans. They say, "The model suggests the changes won't appear huge to the naked eye, and the ocean will still look like it has blue regions in the subtropics and greener regions near the equator and poles. That basic pattern will still be there. But it will be different enough to affect the rest of the food web that phytoplankton supports".
The sub-tropic region of the oceans which are already blue will become darker. And the region near the poles which is already green will be turning into deeper hues of green. The green here is not just colour but plant life.
"As a result, more green light is reflected back out of the ocean, giving algae-rich regions a greenish hue".
