But whatever might be the mindset of the moviegoer, there were certain trendsetting actions, movies and dialogues which are still celebrated by us. Not all guy best friends have ZNMD only, not all goa stories start from this movie. Likewise, there are other movies which have set a trend even before millennial movies.

The comic timing of Sanjay Dutt, the different goon he played this time, with a love track and a parent sentiment was a treat to watch. 15 years have gone by, but still, we have this movie in our minds, truly a trendsetting comedy.

Making a movie out of Literature was started by this movie named Maqbool. It was in the year 2003, Vishal Bharadwaj has directed this movie, inspired by the Shakespearean Literature piece, 'Macbeth'. The dark cinematography just looked like a play of Bard's masterpiece.
"Jis insaan ka maqsad sirf nuksaan ho, uss se kisi ka fayda nahi ho sakta."
"Aag ke Liye paani ka dar bane rehna chahiye!" These were the dialogues from the movie, which surely strike chords in people's hearts.
The taboo of Surrogacy has been overcome by this movie in the year 2001. Abbas-Mastan addressed this taboo and made it into a concept for their movie. It was a commercial blockbuster in those times, despite the topic chosen. It starred Salman Khan, Rani Mukherjee and Preity Zinta in lead roles.
The surprising fact is that there was a movie made on similar lines just before this movie, named Dusri Dulhan, and it was a serious flop. The critics have blamed it on being too ahead of time for the audience. But Chori Chori Chupke Chupke did very well for being ahead of time.
