Team India is currently playing 5-match Test series against England. However, the hosts managed to win the first Test despite Kohli's amazing fight against them. Indian skipper did his best to bring in victory to his team but couldn't make it till the end as his teammates didn't help him build a partnership.
But Virat's struggle brought him something special as he became the No. 1 batsman in Tests. He has impressed every cricket fan in the world except English crowd. The situation seems like Virat has a long way to go to impress the English fans. He was hated after he imitated Joe Root's mic-drop celebration in the first innings. The crowd for sure did not like it as they booed the Indian skipper when he came out to bat on the second day of the game.
As England won the inaugural Test match, their fans left no stone unturned to make fun of team India. Post the win, a group of England supporters gathered in front of the Indian team bus and mocked the Indian captain. They surrounded team India’s bus and started chanting ‘Where’s your Virat Kohli gone??”
They went on to block the bus and shouted 'Balle Balle'. In the video, the bus driver was seen taking help of the police to disperse the mob.
But to Kohli's credit, the boos turned into a standing ovation when the Indian skipper scored a brilliant 149, his first hundred in England to rescue India in the first innings and then followed that up with a 51 in the second innings. Unfortunately for Kohli, lack of support from his teammates meant India suffered a 31-run loss in the first Test match.
