On the eve of 72nd Independence Day today, Prime Minister will address the nation from the Red Fort like every year. But there's going to be something different this year and it is Prime Minister's speech will go live on Google and YouTube and will be broadcast live on Doordarshan.
"When people are searching for anything to do with Independence Day, the live-stream will appear on their page on the top. This will dramatically increase the visibility and access to the live stream," Prasar Bharati CEO Shashi Shekhar Vempati said. People can also watch PM's speech relayed live on his Twitter handle as well as via NaMo app. The speech will begin at 8 am.
