No need of an introduction to Indian ace Tennis star Sania Mirza. She is one of India's most popular sportspersons in recent times. We all know that Sania has won a number of laurels at some of the biggest tournaments in the world. She is a former World No. 1 in women's doubles and so far has six Grand Slam titles to her name. She also won a total of 14 medals combined at the Asian Games, Commonwealth Games and Afro-Asian Games.
She got married to Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik in 2010 and since then, her nationality has been constantly questioned by fans and trolls on social media.
Sania Mirza has made our country proud on many occasions. She has always displayed an amazing performance & has grabbed too many titles and medals. However, one thing that makes everyone sad is how people troll her over her nationality. Sania never hesitates or feel bad about giving them befitting reply and shut their mouths.
Sania Mirza delivered an ace on Twitter as she came up with a perfect response to a tweet from a troll that questioned her nationality and wished her a Happy Independence Day on August 14. One of Sania’s followers called Romeo Gold 2.0 on Tuesday tweeted to her, “Happy Independence Day @MirzaSania.. aapka independence day Aaj hi hai na (Your Independence Day must be today).”
As usual, the tennis star delivered an ace with her response to the tweet and it was so emphatic that it forced the troll to delete the original tweet. Sania is extremely proud of being an Indian and her reply reflected it; she said, “Jee Nahi... Mera aur mere country ka Independence Day kal hai, aur mere husband aur unnki country ka Aaj!! Hope your confusion is cleared !!Waise aapka kab hai?? Since you seem very confused ..”
