An Engineering student from NIT Kurukshetra appeals to the Chandigarh High Court for allowing him for one last time to clear his 17 subjects. The man joined the course in the year 2009. Failed to clear it in the first 4 years.
The institute has then given him an extra time period of four years to reappear and to clear the exams that he failed in. Eight years and eight attempts he could not clear his 17 subjects. Now, for the 9th time, he wants to appear and clear out the subjects.
NIT college did not allow him for the 9th time as it has exceeded its limit. The student distressed now appealed before the Chandigarh High Court for one last attempt to clear all the above. In this unusual case, the Chief Justice got involved. He scolded the student. Also stating that its high time that he should leave the engineering course and save the country.
In the court's session when he was asked about the reason for not able to clear it out in so many years. He said the reason was due to some personal situations he was facing. Ans so he was not able to clear the exams, within the given time. After all these attempts, he himself went to the court to plead for giving him a degree.
The Chief Justice of Chandigarh High Court was angry at the man's position. Chief Justice Krishna Murari went on to criticize him and in turn, asked him to leave engineering this time. He scolded him for wasting government money for his engineering degree.
The man could not clear these 17 compartments in 9 whole years, he would definitely not be able to do so in one good attempt. On top of that, getting the issue to the court would even more delay, waste more of his and Court's time. So the Chief Justice advised the man to leave Engineering and chose another profession. Save money, save time.
