The prestigious Indian Premier League (IPL) has made its auction for players. The teams of the IPL have bought their players and are all set for IPL 2019. The most unknown name till the auction has become the most sort name after it. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kings XI Punjab (KXP) were fighting over this 16-year-old player. Prayas Roy Barman, who was listed at a base of INR 20 Lakhs was bought by RCB for Rs 1.50 Crore.
Barman after the auction became the Youngest Millionaire in the history of T20 Tournament. He is the U-15 player for Bengal Team, who has a streak of match winnings. The young player is a Right-arm leg-spinner, who is quite effective in his bowling style. Being a huge fan of Shane Warne, he always inspires his bowling style from the Australian leg-spinner.
When it comes to overall Cricket performance, Prayas is a huge fan of the Indian Team Captain Virat Kohli. Barman always dreamed of getting a selfie taken with Virat Kohli. For which the young player had tried many times in the past. But to his disappointment, he could not get the opportunity.
Now, with the auction and the RCB Team having him in their team, Barman shares the same room as Virat Kohli. He is now placed in the same team as Virat and gets the chance of playing alongside his role-model. In his words, Barman says, "The feeling has not sunk in. But I’m getting a flood of calls, with several in waiting. Never expected I will be picked. Like any other youngster in India, Virat is our role model".
Prayas Barman further gets elated and says, "I always had a dream to click a photo with Kohli. I’ve tried a lot but did not get an opportunity. Now that I would be sharing the dressing room with my hero is just unbelievable. Sharing the dressing room, practicing, interacting with the likes of Kohli, AB de Villiers on a day to day basis. It will be a big learning curve for me".
On the other side, when the question came in front of Virat Kohli that Barman wanted a selfie with him. Sources claimed that Kohli said, 'as many selfies as you want now'.
