The most talked about Bollywood couple, Deepika And Ranveer got married to each other a month ago at a private wedding in Italy. They were together for 6 years prior to their wedding. Until they had announced their wedding date, the two had not opened up about the details of their relationship. Now that they got married, the duo is all blushy and candid about their moments during their 6 years long dating time.
Deepika recalls how she first met him as an established actor. She says that Ranveer was all smiles and keeps flirting with her, despite being in a relationship with another person. Speaking at the Filmfare, she says, "I was at YashRaj and he was there and he was flirting like it’s nobody’s business and he was dating somebody else at this point and I was smiling to myself and told him, 'You are flirting with me',".
Deepika also recalls the days when they were shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram Leela and the duo was dating going to lunch and dinners together. One time, the director happened to invite them both to his house for dinner. And the most awkward thing has happened which the three can never forget.
In her words, "Sir called us over for lunch and we were eating and apparently there was a piece of crab stuck in my tooth and he(Ranveer) wanted to make me awkward and Ranveer said, 'Oh, there’s a crab stuck in your mouth,' and I said, 'Then take it out'. That moment all three of us won’t forget,".
At a recent Hindustan Times meet, Ranveer, on the other hand, shares his first fandom encounter with Deepika, where he almost embarrassed himself in front of her. Ranveer was out for a private dinner with his parents when Deepika walked in. He narrates how excited he was and then whispered to his parents that she was sitting right behind them.
"I was a huge fan of hers", and told them that he would introduce himself after a while. Before that, Ranveer had an unexpected allergy reaction to Prawns when he went over to Deepika's Table to meet her, he was more preoccupied with hiding his rashes filled face. He continues by saying, "But my one takeaway from that meeting was 'how can anyone look like that',"
