What looked like a 'Hate Crime' took place in a school in Pittsburg of The United States of America. The video of a girl taunting another hijab-wearing girl in a restroom and later beating her up has gone viral. What first starts with an argument and taunting by the American Blonde-haired girl, later goes into a thrashing and beating of the Muslim Girl. This video was taken by another student who accompanied the attacker.
Initially posted, the video made rounds at the host place of the attack. It was a school named, Chartiers Valley High School. Later, the video spread outside the campus and into the world wide web making it a viral one. Regarding this attack, the school has reported the issue to the local Pittsburg police, the attacker is likely to face strong action.
The victim was a Syrian Refugee who came to the United States after staying at the Syrian Refugee Camp for two years. She remains unidentified and is getting treated for 'Concussion' and 'Minor Bruises'. The officials on investigating the issue have declared that this is not a case of 'Hate Crime' or 'Racially Motivated Crime'.
By rounding it off to Bullying, the purple sweater wearing teen is expected to be punished according to the Bullying Laws. She, the attacker is likely to face criminal charges for the damage she has done to the victim. The Collier Police Chief Campbell has said, "We are taking this incident very seriously, and it is being fully investigated".
Responding to the whole incident, the school authorities have said, "Chartiers Valley School District does not condone or tolerate violence of any kind and will enforce consequences to the fullest extent. The District considers matters of student safety and security to be of utmost importance and strives to provide a safe and welcoming learning environment for all of its students and staff ".
Fellow students of the school have reported that the blonde-girl is noted for causing trouble many times in the past. and they have also made it clear that such incidents are "Unacceptable". Hoping the District would take strong action on her, they wish a speedy recovery to the victim.
