Indian Premier League of 2019 is back. The auction for players for the teams has taken place. It was held on Tuesday, which had 351 players up for grabs by the team owners. There were eight players who were most expensive and topping this list were these two players. Jaydev Unadkat and Varun Chakravarthy were the most expensive buys of this IPL 2019 Auction. Each of them was bought for Rs 8.4 Crore by Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab respectively.
The next line of players who were next to the topmost is from Overseas. England's Sam Curran was bought for a huge amount of Rs 7.20 crore by the Kings XI Punjab team. Followed by South African Colin Ingram was bought by the newly renamed team 'Delhi Capitals' for a Rs 6.40 crore. This team was earlier called as 'Delhi Daredevils'.
Other mentions were of Shivam Dube, Mohit Sharma, Axar Patel and Carlos Brathwaite who each had gone out for Rs 5 crore. The newest youngest player Prayas Barman was also bought for Rs 1.5 Crore by the Royal Challengers Bangalore Team. To our shock, there were no bids for Yuvraj Singh.
Initially, Yuvraj was not chosen by anyone, but later the team of Mumbai Indians had bought him for an amount of Rs 1 Crore. The whole session was taken in a light-hearted manner by the audience and the fans. They thus did what they would always do when they find certain things amusing.
