NASA's Revolutionary Mission to Mars, 'InSight' with its rover landing on the planet for giving us more insights into the surface information of the red planet. The mission was aimed at studying the 'Inner Space' of the Mars. The rover named, InSight is short for, "Interior Exploration using Seismic Investigations, Geodesy and Heat Transport" methods of studying all the layers of the planet. The first outer space robotic explorer.
The most viral selfie prior to this was Ellen's Oscar Selfie back in 2014. Now in 2018, the land rover has snatched the position blatantly and is going viral on the internet. The not so camera shy InSight has clicked few pictures, more like "Selfies" which were arranged to form the complete picture.
A similar mosaic feature which is also available on Instagram is used by the rover in clicking several pictures and clubbing them using symmetry. The selfie wholly constructed by the ground crew shows its solar panels and its deck. The scientific operations which it conducts with its instruments are also visible in the picture.

With a backdrop of Mars's Red Sandy Plane surface, rover's weather sensor booms and its UVF Antennae were clearly visible. The contrast of the background to its own colour has made the picture very clear. The long propulsion arm of the lander is used as the selfie stick.
In a statement by the NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, it said, " The spacecraft used a camera on its robotic arm to take its first selfie — a mosaic made up of 11 images". The patchwork is done wonderfully by the ground staff to create a one from overlapping pictures.

The workspace and the working area on the planet Mars have also been clicked. Another patched up mosaic of pictures is sent as a follow-up. The rover also Tweets about its achievement and posts the pictures.
