'Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi', the story of the warrior queen Jhansi Laxmi Bai who has a major role in the rebellion of 1857 against the British. The movie has 'Queen' movie star Kangana Ranaut playing the lead role of Jhansi Rani. The movie is in the theatres and is getting a great response from the audience for its portrayal and the cast's acting performances. But, the movie is in the headlines for other reasons too.
Kangana had earlier lashed out on Alia Bhatt during her movie promotions. She went on to say that 'girls like Alia send me their movie trailers to come to watch, and when I show up to theirs, they don't show up to mine'. Kangana says that she has shown up for screenings of Dangal, Secret Superstar and Raazi, none to hers.
Even Aamir Khan did not find time to come attend to her movie, despite sending invites. Upon the allegations against Alia on her actions, she went on to say that she did not mean any ill in not attending Kangana's movie screenings.
In her words, Alia says, " I hope she doesn't dislike me and I don't think she dislikes me. I don't think I have done anything intentionally to upset her. If I have, I will apologise to her on a personal level". The actress is busy promoting her new movie with Ranveer Singh, 'Gully Boy'.
Kangana also while lashing out on people said that the whole of 'Bollywood has ganged up on her after her comments on "nepotism". She continues by saying, " one thing is for sure, I’m not going to forgive anyone. Main inki waat Laga dungi, Ek Ek ko expose karungi". Which translates to, " I will make their lives hell, and I will expose every single one of them".
