Physical Training is an essential part of anyone's life. Especially the growing ages need the exercise to help in their overall improvement. It would be a healthy way to start a lifestyle. The inclusion of regular fitness classes in the busy schedules of everyone's life is beneficial. And the inclusion of such in the students' day-to-day life is even more beneficial. This 81-year-old does defy all odds and conducts physical training classes to school students.
Isha Ghosh is weak with numbers as this octogenarian does not know how to act her age. It is just another number people give her. The degree of enthusiasm she shows in her daily attendance at the school, it is hard to believe she is a day older than thirty.
Every day she keeps herself busy by conducting special physical training classes in schools. The oldest member of the State Committee of Bharat Scouts and Guides (BSG) is always dedicated to her work despite doing the same thing for over decades now. 'Retirement is just a State of Mind'.
Hailing from Chaibasa she provides special camps for training the school students representing the BSG. Eight hours a day, every day she is busy conducting classes. To work for such hours on a regular basis, she herself walks around town for several kilometres to keep herself fit.
Just by her morning routine, she strolls to other schools and also plans camps and sessions of physical training there too. Teaching the kids to lead a life of discipline she uses various methods. Use of Japanese music, climbing, yoga etc.
Since 2003 Isha Ji is residing at the Scout residential campus and earns her living by the marginal remuneration given to her by the BGS, any special needs the locals take care of it. In her words, the active young lady has a lot to say and is an inspiration to us desk-stuck generation.

"Sitting idly at home is not good and one should do something for the society till one's last breath. since joining BSG in 1963, I have been helping people to remain mentally and physically fit. Service to the society is like a religion for a BSG member. After completing eight decades of life, I love to serve society and it gives me inner satisfaction".
